The Charnley Cushion is for use after surgery to maintain the hips in abduction and prevent hip adduction.

The Charnley Cushions maintains knee separation while hook and loop straps maintain proper leg positioning.  The Charnley Cushion is shaped to maintain the separation of the legs, which provides effective hip abduction to restore strength to weakened muscles. The hook-and-loop straps help to prevent further movement, which will provide additional protection to the hips following surgery to ensure no damage occurs during the healing process.
